βWe all know the feeling that comes over us when we first arrive in a foreign land. We get off the train, walk through a small town and feel a certain vibe. We feel the “personality” of a place. This is precisely the feeling I wanted to capture and convey on film. I spent two months in the different locations, and over a multitude of conversations I learned about the people’s past, hopes and dreams. The results were essay films that do not inform with facts but describe my personal feelings about the places. They are the cinematic poems of places.β
